Today, I have a VITAL tip for eCommerce businesses which will help you overcome a recent change introduced by Google, that’s affecting your marketing emails’ deliverability to your eCommerce database.
THE ISSUE:
So. In late November 2022, Google implemented a significant change to the authentication protocols of Gmail accounts. This means that the spam filters have become more stringent, which can lead to your marketing emails bouncing back or getting caught in recipients’ junk folders. I know this can be frustrating and challenging, especially when you’re sending emails through a mass EDM platform like MailChimp.
THE SOLUTION:
But, fear not! I have discovered a solution that will help you overcome this issue. All you need to do is tighten up your email account’s ‘authentication protocols’, and your emails will be verified, authenticated, and won’t be flagged as spam by Gmail. I have included links below that will guide you through the process:

THE TAKE-AWAY:
I understand that as business owners, it can be frustrating to keep up with the constant changes in technology, especially when the goalposts keep moving. But, let’s remember that every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and improve. Even a single handshake or phone call can change everything for the better. Or a great tip like this one! So, let’s keep moving forward, people!
